Got to Hayling about 6.45. Had been v strong wind earlier, fortunately not so much now! Out with Matt, shorebreak bigger than other days, tide coming in (22.00) and bigger swell. Managed maybe 2 gybes, lots of waterstarting! Did a couple of good jumps, also went much faster, which was interesting as on v small board! Surprised how I handled the 4.7 in those conditions, hardest part was stability after waterstart. Self-rescue pack strap broke off harness, so came in to put in van. Went out for some emore hard work, then got tired doing stupid things so came in. Good session, I'll be better next time. Need to practise manoeuvres more.
